Western Wake Growth Area

Apex US 64 West Area

The map to the left is here because the 64 West corridor in Apex is where it is going to happen in 2018 and beyond. We also use this map throughout the web site for illustration and educational purposes. More and more people are using GPS and GIS mapping tools in everyday life so being able to benefit from this site is our goal at Atkinson Properties Group.

Why is Apex the place to invest?

WHO:

Atkinson Properties Group

The Landman: Bob Atkinson

Bob Atkinson has seen all the ups and downs in the Triangle area market since 1974 when he and his family moved from Raleigh to Apex. In his years of working in real estate he has developed a teaching approach which is evident in his constantly changing website . Unlike many real estate professionals, Bob has invested in property and physically worked to improve land and stay in good physical condition. He is excited about the future in the Apex and surrounding areas with the new 540 Western Wake Expressway and new regional Wastewater System now complete and driving growth.

WHAT:

Land!

There are many factors involved in deciding whether or not to invest in a particular piece of land. Numerous free resources are available online no matter where you live. Municipalities have planning departments with very robust GIS (Geographical Information & Mapping Systems) as well as maps for zoning, land use, utilities, transportation, watershed areas, & more. Atkinson Properties Group recommends putting in the time to research before investing. Check out www.learnaboutland.com.

WHERE:

RTP Area

The Landman has been a student of the RTP area for many years. He has studied all of the different types of maps, and understands what makes for a good investment. You may be surprised the amount of information that is actually available, for anyone, on public record, free of charge. The Landman can probably tell you more about your land than you may already know. If you would like more information, continue reading this site. If you don't have the time to invest, don't gamble your money away.

WHEN:

Timing Is Vital

The one thing that I have heard over my whole career is — "I wish I had bought land 10 years ago." There has never been a bad time to buy including the past 5-10 years. If a normal person will look at land as a retirement vehicle, like their employer's plan or their 401k, the end result can be wonderful. When you call Bob you will get sound advice based upon years of real experience (good and bad). The important question though is HOW.

HOW:

Research!

In this site you can follow most of the underlined links to valuable information provided by planning and engineering departments in area towns and counties. Most municipalities provide maps of existing as well as planned future changes for roads and infrastructure. As an example the town of Apex, N.C. provides all kinds of mapping and planning at apexnc.org. At Atkinson Properties we like educated and well informed clients so any way we can help you learn all you wish is our goal. A lot of our clients understand GIS but usually appreciate our opinions and suggestions concerning soil conditions and topography.
